My Story

A born storyteller, I love people, conversation, debate, arguments. I can be challenging and disarming in the same breath, but always with a good heart which can also manifest itself through my commitment to the hard truths in life.

How I got here

Raised in Clare, Ireland, much of my career was spent in the UK with secondments to Silicon Valley and working with both companies and people across the globe. My career was achieved through hard work and an unyielding commitment to progress, sometimes looking for progress without knowing why other than that I should.

There was no fast track, no safety net, impact derived through performance became my greatest asset. But the desire to succeed comes with insecurity too; despite my success, I understand the noise and the interference we can all experience when we doubt “if we can?” and, ultimately, how this can impact performance.

My career started in finance. I am a Chartered Management Accountant but, when an opportunity arose, I moved into general management roles and, before my career moved to coaching, I spent 25 years leading global teams in the technology sector. Through my academic learning and professional experience, I believe I am in the uniquely valuable position of being able to combine deep industry insight with coaching practice to build trust with and drive the performance of my clients.
